SE Steel Fabrication: Keeping pace with industry demands

SE Steel Fabrication (Pty) Ltd is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, designed with a fresh new look and user-friendly navigation so that clients can easily access the latest information about the company’s latest projects and range of services.

“Our goal was to create a site that would be simple to navigate but also reflect the growth and changes that we have experienced as a company,” says John Essey, CEO of SE Steel Fabrication. “While we are very excited about the new look, this is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.”

SE Steel is constantly adapting and growing to meet the demands of an ever-evolving construction and fabrication market.

“As we establish our company as a true market leader, we’d also like to take a moment to reflect on our rich history and how our company’s legacy has evolved,” adds Essey.

SE Steel Fabrication was founded by David Essey in 1981. The company was based on the principles of honesty, integrity and a commitment to delivering customised steel work solutions that meet industry standards and exceed client expectations. These values have remained steadfast throughout the company’s three decades of existence, in what has become a family-business success story.

After a decade of corporate and international experience, David’s nephew, John Essey, is now one of the major driving forces behind the company. John spent many high school holidays working his way through the company, and after obtaining a qualification as a Chartered Accountant, he returned to the place where he had developed an understanding of the industry, coupled with a deep passion for the success of the business.

In addition, Christo Muller, the Operations Director at SE Steel Fabrication, has been with the company for more than 10 years, following in the footsteps of his father who started with the company 25 years ago as an erector, eventually becoming Operations Director. In fact, more than 70% of the employees at SE Steel Fabrication today have been with the company for more than 10 years.

“These Long Service employees are a true indication of the value, dedication and commitment of our people,” says Essey. “I believe that the commitment, hard work and dedication of our greatest asset – our people – is what has helped us to achieve consistently, even against the backdrop of a challenging economy,” he added.

SE Steel Fabrication’s long-term strategy is to take on increasingly complex and challenging projects that will showcase its capabilities.

“We aim to tackle each challenge with the same superior steel solutions that have established our company as a market leader,” says Essey. “We’ve invested considerably in our facilities, having recently upgraded our factory size by an addiiotnal 1800sqm, so that we have the capacity and resources to continue to meet our clients demands and keep ahead of the latest construction trends.”

SE Steel Fabrication has also made a commitment to continuously invest in the development and upliftment of its people and surrounding communities. “One of our main objectives is to become Johannesburg’s largest employer on the West Rand,” adds Essey.

Using the most innovative steel construction, fabrication and detailing solutions coupled with three decades of expertise, SE Steel Fabrication ensures that clients receive steel work and steel construction of superior quality. “We hope that you will enjoy browsing our new site, an indication of our promise to remain relevant, innovative and committed to our clients,” concludes Essey.
